When I moved into my own home, I was so caught up in the logistics that the meaningful traditions, the very things meant to bring peace and good fortune....felt like another impossible task. I remember standing in a 7-11, buying a pineapple drink to roll into my new home because it was the quickest and easiest thing I could manage. That moment stuck with me.
We Knew There Had To Be A Better Way
A celebration of a new beginning had been reduced to a convenience store shortcut. It lacked meaning, it lacked intention, and it didn't give me that feeling of hope and confidence I was craving. I saw so many friends going through the same stressful experience, and I wanted to help in a real way. I wanted to take one big, important step off their minds so they could focus on the joy of their new beginning. I just thought, "I wish someone had prepared this for me."
